Nothing in Sinister 2 comes across as believably scary.. Anderson moves further from conventional storytelling with each new film, and closer to something more intuitive, more damning, more true. He hasn't made it there yet. God help us when he does.. Anyone who found the original a cut above the average horror pic will likely leave the theater disappointed, if not downright insulted..
